Game 2 - ALDS

So, last night was game 2...and it was an awesome game. At least, what I could actually see of it...because my satellite did not want to cooperate last night with the rain here!

I didn't really see Dice-K pitch, but he went 5 innings...not that I really figured he would go more, but whatever.

Anyway, the Sox won it 7-5...with home runs from none other than Jason Bay and J.D. Drew. Bay's was in the 1st inning, I believe...and Drew's was a two run shot in the ninth to give them the lead and winning runs!! And...with his back still hurting him!! Seriously, this guy is awesome...

And, Youk had a couple of awesome plays at third base...two right in a row!! That second one where he reached into the camera dugout was awesome...I was amazed he caught that thing!!

They flew back to Boston last night and Game 3 will be played at Fenway tomorrow!! Beckett is on the mound (as far as I still know, if he is doing okay) and that makes me feel secure. Which I'm sure it makes everyone feel...the dude is a machine in October baseball!! =P

Let's not count our eggs before they're hatched...but any of the next games are do or die for the Angels. And let's say this, if the Red Sox do take this series, I think they should be feared in the playoffs because they will have beaten the team that won 100 freakin' regular season games!!

It should be interesting and fun to watch, although I probably (or most definitely) won't be able to stay up to watch the whole thing, but oh well...

Game 1 - ALDS

Okay, so the first game of the series between the Red Sox and the Angels was on Wednesday night. I couldn't stay up and watch the whole thing, since I had school the next morning, but the Red Sox won it...4-1 I believe??

Anyway, Lester pitched game 1 and did a solid job. Not outstanding, but hey, it got the job done, right?? The Angles did have the best record in the Major Leagues this season, so I don't think they are going to be a piece of cake to defeat, but the Red Sox have done crazier things, if I'm not mistaken, correct?? =)

If I am remembering correctly, Bay went 2-2 with a homer...and Ellsbury went 3-5 with a double in the first inning. Not bad, and I like Bay...if there was any misconception...

So...I don't have much to say about this game considering I didn't get to watch it, but I will be watching Game 2...which is actually on in about 30 minutes!! hahaha
